Soon, Music Will Play For You is a 2D interaction fiction where you live the story of a trans, aromantic person through simple movement and interactions.
Use the arrow keys to move, and X to interact with the environment. Press Esc to toggle fullscreen.
The fonts come from the NB Pixel Font Bundles, which are a collection of public domain fonts. All other assets were made by myself.
This game was inspired by an old flash game about the trans experience that I can no longer remember the name of. If anyone knows what I'm talking about after playing this, please let me know.

This 100% feels like a Flash game that I would play alone one night, and would stick in my mind as I grew up. I think you really captured that feeling that the original game brought you! The final scene was lovely, and warmed my heart. This sort of story about a trans person experiencing hardship but coming out the other side okay is the sort of thing I, and many others, need right now.
